The APRA Music Awards recognise and reward the songwriters and music publishers of the Australian Music industry. When APRA AMCOS made the decision to move ahead with their annual award program, due to take place during the height of the COVID-19 crisis, they turned to their regular awards partner TMC Productions. TMC had only just delivered three global award shows for APRA in London, LA and Nashville. With live events no longer a possibility TMC took on an expanded role, not only creating all interviews and nominee packages but also filming Briggs on hosting duties and editing the show together into the final package for delivery online. The music industry press described it as ‘proof that a live stream can rival that of a live television extravaganza.’
